Release Notes

The basic tracks for Songs were recorded in November of 2003 at Nova Music Productions by co-producer Michael Wozniak.

Andrew Hardin is a long time friend who played guitar in a band I had in the mid 1970's in the San Francisco area called Rowdy & the Rivets. At the time of these recordings, he was playing with singer/songwriter, Tom Russell. On this particular visit to Tucson, he had a day available and donated it to this project.

The first seven songs are from that session. The eighth track here was recorded at our kitchen table. We enlisted Shanti Foster (currently a regular with the Wayback Machine) to add a violin part to the Hank Williams classic, "Cold, Cold Heart". She turned it into a small violin/guitar concerto.

The rest of the work was done by CopperMoon regulars: Kathy Armstrong, Sam Sawyer, and John Milner. John took a turn on his Engraved National Steel Resonator Guitar, which he inexplicably leaves in his closet most of the time.

Musicians

The CopperMoon regulars:

Kathy Armstrong - harmony vocals and harmonica
Sam Sawyer - bass
John Milner - lead guitar
Larry Armstrong - lead vocal and rhythm guitar.
